I love shooting in the snow! I’m not sure if it’s because we normally don’t get a lot of it in Seattle or if it’s like anything else that’s new or unique. It inspires me! We met Aaron & Sandra at Greenlake in Seattle & explored what my hopes were a winter wonderland. We were quite shocked by the lack of snow & white. It was really anything but a winter wonderland! We rescheduled to the next day & winter came just like we hoped about 30 minutes north near Snohomish. Such a difference! We had fun exploring & really enjoyed getting to know each other.

Aaron & Sandra are fun, really know how to be themselves, & are genuinely a very sweet couple! We really enjoyed getting to know them more. Their March wedding at the Monte Cristo Ballroom in Everett will be fantastic! I love themed weddings & there is nothing better than a masquerade theme!

It was such an honor to shoot the wedding of someone who is active military on 11-11-11! The groom is active in the Army while his new wife, serves as a civilian for the Army. As far as I’m concerned, I would say they both serve our country! Knowing military wives personally, I know often times they make the ultimate sacrifice here at home.

I’ve never shot a wedding that I got chills down my spine reflecting on the fact they serve me everyday compared to my serving them one day. It’s truly humbling. As I enjoy peace & freedom in the United States, they are sacrificing on my behalf.

This was my first holiday wedding! I would have to say I LOVE holiday weddings. The themes that go along with winter weddings, holiday weddings, etc. are great! I love how Jeff & Debra incorporated red, white, & blue to tie in their theme of Veteran’s Day! It was all perfect!

Even the bouquets went with their theme!

The girls got ready at Gene Juarez & First Congressional Church. Debra was a stunning bride!!! Her dress was so beautiful & unique (the bottom was separate & attached to a reception style wedding dress to make it more formal). Her shoes…my favorite! Not only did she rock these heels but they’re gorgeous navy blue!

Jeff & Debra are both very genuine & sweet. The way Jeff lit up when Debra walked out for the first look was so special! You can tell he’s landed himself a beautiful & intelligent woman & he’s so grateful for her in his life. I love couples that really know that & savor each other. So important for a healthy marriage!

First Congregational had gorgeous details & really looked good for it’s many years of service. It’s one of the oldest churches in Tacoma (1874). The ceremony was filled with warmth from other active military, friends & family there to show support.

We shot a few images in Wright Park between a huge rain & wind storm. To say the least, it was a stormy wedding day. Everyone handled it beautifully with the chilling temps & the crazy weather. I felt so bad for the ladies who had to take off their coats off to do pictures. They were freezing!

We headed to the Elks Lodge & enjoyed a beautiful reception with many heart felt stories, speeches, & moments. Debra & Jeff really displayed how much they adore each other & their friends & families. It was a great celebration filled with much laughter, emotion, & joy!

Thank you Jeff & Debra! We really had a phenomenal time capturing your special day. Thank you for your service & what you have done to keep us America; The Land of the Free!

Short & sweet…I love this family! I met them in Richland at Howard Amon Park & we hung out playing in the fall leaves…beautiful fall leaves! They needed an update as their kiddos are growing up fast. It’s crazy how one day I’m shooting newborn images & the next the kiddos are heading off to school. Enjoy the color!

At this point, this is one of my favorite family sessions. If you were only here to witness how windy & freezing cold it was & to see how everything turned out…AMAZING!!! These three couldn’t have been easier going with freezing cold wind on their faces & winter chill. As the photographer, I was freaking out inside since I was the one who recommended coming to Golden Gardens for it’s lush grass, sunny scene, beautiful beach, & versatility. What I walked into wasn’t what I had experienced the day before…calm, sunny, & a beautiful sunny beach. Oh well, that’s how Seattle works. Crazy weather!

Jennifer & her kids are adorable, full of great personality (check out the image with her son picking up one of my cameras & shooting his sister & Mom – so fun!) & are all great people! I love sessions with easy-going & fun personalities. Makes my job awesome!

I LOVE the fall! I can’t get enough of the magnificent colors which are all so unique & vibrant! I ran a fall portrait special and had a great turn out with families from all over the Puget Sound. One of my lifestyle sessions took place at Green lake in Seattle. I have loved Green lake for as long as I can remember but have never captured fall there. Now that I have, I will be going back. It was amazing!

It couldn’t have been more of a perfect day for capturing fall family images…especially now that the wind is blowing hard & the rain has returned. Green lake was buzzing with people that Sunday, soccer games were in action, & many kids were playing in the leaves. I love parks in Seattle for this reason, people are living life & enjoying the beautiful parks we have here! The Boelter’s came prepared with layers, a waterproof blanket, & adorable kiddos. We hung out (they are totally laid back & awesome to capture) & I got to know their two little one’s.

If you are looking to have family lifestyle portraits done I love to capture families!

You can’t beat a Texan that fly’s to Seattle for their senior portraits! Especially when they have a cute smile, blue eyes, a fantastic personality & happen to be my brother! We started senior pictures on the beach by west Seattle & ventured over to the space needle. I loved shooting images at EMP, Seattle Center, & of course, by Alki beach. They never get old & there’s always something new to try. We had a blast & even included our little brother Christopher.

Robert just got accepted to Texas A & M! Whoop! Can’t wait to hear about his next step in life!
